Volunteers distribute relief aid in Romania

Several trucks with emergency aid, containing basic necessities such as food, blankets and warm clothes, have reached the people covered by snow in Romania during the last two weeks. A group of youngsters volunteering for Dorcas, have assisted with distribution of the aid to the victims. One volunteer tells: ‘I knew that we would meet poor people, but reality hit me. It was worse than I could have imagined. Dilapidated houses surrounded by loads of snow, with walls ready to crumble, dark, some cold because of the need for firewood.' Heavy snow in southern and eastern areas of the country have affected many people, especially in rural areas, where the aid brought smiles and joy on the faces of those in need.
